We've had grass much of the winter - although it is dried out and brown. Even now there is only a few scattered green fringes. It snowed yesterday - a point of celebration here in Southern Alberta. It's so dry - too dry! People are beginning to wonder if we are sinking into another prolonged drought.
When we lived in Wpg there was excitment when you started to see the first glimpses of grass in April. It was late May before it was green and growing. The first cutting did not take place until early June.
